My name is Robyn Electra, and I am the Co-founder and CEO of @transcelebration TRANS CELEBRATION: a trans-led, grassroots human rights and community organisation dedicated to highlighting issues affecting trans and gender-diverse people in the United Kingdom and improving the quality of their lives.
I am also the co-founder of @gaffandgo Gaff and Go: a transgender lingerie, swimwear and accessories brand for pre-op transgender women, non-binary people and those who tuck.
When I aged 20, I realised I was transgender; I used very painful and unsafe methods to tuck to achieve a discreet and flat front. My objective was to fill a gap in the market for underwear and swimwear that will be used by trans women, non-binary individuals and gender non-conforming people to tuck. Gaff and Go's line of tucking lingerie and swimwear is designed to provide the wearer with the ultimate confidence and comfort, which also helps to keep the trans community safe.
At its most basic, a gaff is an item of compression underwear. A gaff is made to be worn and works perfectly to help transgender women or those who tuck to achieve a flatter, more gender-affirmed look. Amongst many other things, gaffs can help Transgender women fit certain clothing designs, like swimwear, in a way that is more comfortable and affirming. For many transgender women, tucking is also important to their safety when in public.
Gaff and Go is now used by many Queens on the TV show "RuPaul's Drag Race" (USA and UK). Gaff and Go has officially hit 200,000 followers across all our brands and social media channels. Our gaffs are designed by a trans woman with trans women in mind.
Gaff and Go, in 2020, launched the first Transgender Tucking Swimwear. The Gaff and Go Tucking Swimwear is the Perfect Tucking Swimwear that keeps you tucked all day. Our One-piece Tucking Swimwear is extremely comfortable and will keep you tucked all day at the Beach or Pool without any visible signs of a bulge by offering an extremely flattering and flat front look.
Our Tucking Swimwear is specifically made for transgender women who have not had genital surgery, as each piece is also purpose-made to gently 'tuck' the genitals in place to feel safe at the beach or pool.

As a pre-op trans woman with trans friends who tuck, I care deeply about the needs and safety of our community. Gender-affirming care products are quite important for us trans women to keep us safe while in public.
